During the session, the team guided the community through the ICCA registration form, explaining—section by section—the opportunities, responsibilities, and essential considerations. The orientation also emphasized how registering their ICCA, locally known as “Dumot,” strengthens traditional governance and supports ongoing conservation efforts. ![]()

On the same day, the community began preparing the required documents and successfully completed several sections of the registration form, marking a solid start toward completing their ICCA submission. ![]()

This activity equips the community with a clear understanding of the importance of ICCAs, the benefits of joining the Global ICCA Registry, and how to manage their ICCAs—ultimately contributing to the long-term protection of their ancestral domain for future generations. ![]()
